There are two kinds of horsepower
Car specs in Korea, Japan and Europe mostly quote metric horsepower (PS, about 735.5 W), while US specs use mechanical horsepower (hp, about 745.7 W). The same engine therefore shows a figure about 1.4% lower in hp. Electric cars and official European documents use kW.
